the Silversmith Jan van Millege (1758-1826)

I wrote an article for the Dutch art magazine Origine about the forgotten 18th-century silversmith Jan van Millege. He worked in Schoonhoven (South Holland) and produced the most wonderful small silver needle cases and boxes. Make sure to buy the magazine and also read the other articles in there! (I really enjoyed reading Noortje Krikhaar’s article about the satirical paintings by Cornelis Saftleven.)
